Welcome to KAMA Auto

Shandong KAMA Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (KAMA) and Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. have officially signed an OEM manufacturing agreement to jointly produce new energy logistics and light commercial vehicles. This strategic collaboration marks a major step forward in advancing China's green transportation goals and supports the national “dual carbon” strategy.
With this partnership, Dongfeng Motor brings robust R&D capabilities, while KAMA contributes its advanced smart manufacturing base located in Shouguang, Shandong. The goal: accelerate the transition to electrification in the commercial vehicle sector.
KAMA, a core commercial vehicle brand under China National Machinery Industry Corporation (Sinomach), operates a state-of-the-art facility with an annual capacity of 200,000 units. Its product lineup includes micro, light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks, as well as NEV models, with a sales network spanning all 34 Chinese provinces and exports to over 40 countries. Dongfeng Motor, through its "New 315 Plan," continues to optimize its industrial layout—this partnership is a key step in expanding its presence in northern China while increasing production capacity.
Under the agreement, KAMA will manufacture multiple new energy logistics and light commercial vehicle models for Dongfeng. The first batch has already entered trial production. Recently, the final assembly workshop at KAMA’s Ganzhou plant completed its first NEV units, which are set to be used for urban logistics by companies such as JD.com—signaling a breakthrough in green last-mile delivery.
The collaboration is structured to leverage mutual advantages:
Technological Synergy: Dongfeng supplies electric drive systems and intelligent connectivity tech; KAMA contributes cost-efficient manufacturing and extensive rural distribution networks.
Supply Chain Efficiency: Both companies share a unified parts procurement and distribution system, reducing costs and enhancing competitiveness.
Market Expansion: KAMA’s 450 service outlets in county-level markets will support Dongfeng’s rural and semi-urban market penetration.
As demand for rural and semi-urban logistics surges, micro and NEV commercial vehicles are driving market growth. KAMA’s agricultural vehicle expertise and regional market presence, combined with Dongfeng’s brand strength, create a powerful force to challenge long-standing players like Foton in the light truck segment.
Shouguang’s industrial ecosystem is also growing rapidly. The local auto parts cluster, including key suppliers like Wanlong Industry and Jinfeng Auto Parts, is expected to generate over RMB 20 billion in output—ensuring a stable and localized supply chain for future expansion.
Lu Feng, General Manager of Dongfeng Motor Co., commented:
“This partnership with KAMA is a cornerstone of Dongfeng’s northern market strategy. Through resource integration, we not only scale up production but also accelerate the adoption of NEV commercial vehicles.”
Dong Yishun, General Manager of KAMA, added:
“This OEM collaboration represents a deep fusion of our technical, manufacturing, and market strengths. Together, we aim to deliver high-value, eco-friendly transportation solutions for urban and rural areas alike.”
In the initial phase, the partnership targets an annual production capacity of 100,000 vehicles, including pickups, construction vehicles, and specialized NEVs. With the full activation of KAMA’s 200,000-unit production base in Shouguang, the collaboration is poised to expand even further—fueling China’s transition to sustainable commercial transport.
