Kama Kaijie Electric Light Truck with 100.46kWh CATL battery and 1C fast charging capability
In today's highly competitive logistics industry, truck drivers face unprecedented pressure from rising operating costs and declining freight rates. What they need isn't just a vehicle that can transport goods, but a reliable partner that can reduce operating costs and improve transportation efficiency. Responding to this market demand, Kama New Energy has launched the remarkable Kama Kaijie electric light truck, designed to meet these challenges head-on.
At the heart of the Kama Kaijie electric light truck is a 100.46kWh lithium iron phosphate battery from CATL, strategically positioned inside the vehicle's frame for a lower center of gravity and more stable driving posture. While the official range is rated at 395 kilometers under ideal conditions, actual range may vary depending on road conditions, load weight, climate, and other factors.
The Kama Kaijie addresses range anxiety with both fast and slow charging ports located behind the cab on both sides. The 1C fast charging capability allows for a full charge in approximately one hour, while the 6.6kW slow charging option provides flexibility for overnight charging at lower electricity rates. This dual approach enables efficient daily operations with quick turnaround times during the day and cost-effective charging during off-peak hours.
The vehicle features a permanent magnet synchronous motor with 60kW rated power and 115kW peak power, delivering 135Nm rated torque and 350Nm peak torque. This performance places it on par with 2.5-liter diesel engines while offering faster response times, particularly beneficial in urban environments with frequent stop-and-go traffic.
The integrated electric drive axle eliminates the need for a transmission shaft, freeing up space for battery placement and improving transmission efficiency. This design also results in a simpler structure and reduced weight compared to traditional central motor layouts.
The Kama Kaijie features a front 3-leaf and rear 5+3-leaf longitudinal spring suspension system, which is mainstream among electric light trucks. With a 2T-level front axle and 3.5T-level rear axle, along with 7.00R16LT10PR tires all around, this configuration proves more than capable for urban distribution transportation needs.
Measuring 5995×2200/2150×2390mm with a 3360mm wheelbase, the Kama Kaijie offers a flatbed body with dimensions of 4160/3830 (extended cab)×2100/2050×400/450mm. Additionally, the vehicle provides various body types to accommodate different usage scenarios, allowing drivers to select the configuration that best suits their specific operational requirements.
The new Kama Kaijie electric light truck features a completely redesigned exterior with sharper, more dynamic lines. The silver body paint presents a premium appearance under sunlight. The headlight assembly represents another highlight, featuring integrated high/low beam lights with lenses, LED daytime running lights, LED turn signals, and fog lights. Notably, the headlights incorporate the "KAMA" brand logo for enhanced brand recognition.
Inside the cabin, the Kaijie electric light truck follows contemporary design trends for 4.2-ton light trucks. The 1.9-meter-wide cabin provides ample space both horizontally and vertically, comfortably accommodating three adults. The symmetrical dashboard design includes a large open storage compartment at the top for convenient access to personal items.
Standard features include electric power steering, air conditioning with PTC heating, and electric windows. Options such as reverse radar and reverse camera are available to meet various driver needs.
The Kama Kaijie electric light truck with its large-capacity CATL battery demonstrates traditional brands' innovation and strength in the new energy sector. Offering both extended range and lower operating costs, it represents significant value for urban distribution drivers. With its competitive pricing, advanced features, and practical design, the Kama Kaijie stands as a compelling choice in the evolving electric commercial vehicle market.
