Welcome to KAMA Auto
KAMA Auto, CKD export, Ganzhou International Port, Vietnam commercial vehicle market, RCEP, multimodal transport
Recently, Shandong KAMA Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd.'s Ganzhou branch successfully launched its first batch of CKD (Completely Knocked Down) vehicle kits through the Ganzhou International Land Port’s sea-rail intermodal freight train, ultimately bound for Ho Chi Minh Port, Vietnam. This milestone signifies a fresh surge in export momentum for “Made in Ganzhou” products into the Southeast Asian market.
This is another breakthrough for Ganzhou International Land Port, which previously served BYD’s EV exports from Fuzhou. The port is further enhancing its vehicle logistics capabilities to support Jiangxi’s local auto manufacturing enterprises.
To facilitate this transformation, the railway authorities have improved logistics efficiency by optimizing safety checks and streamlining dispatch procedures to better match enterprise needs. Meanwhile, Ganzhou Customs has rolled out supportive reforms, providing guidance to local exporters and enhancing customs clearance speed.
Thanks to these collaborative efforts, KAMA's CKD cargo was transported via an integrated “rail + sea” model: it departed from Ganzhou, reached Shenzhen Shekou Port through the high-speed Ganzhou-Shenzhen railway, and smoothly transferred to international sea routes. This multimodal transport mode cuts transit time by around 30% compared to traditional methods, significantly lowering logistics costs for the enterprise.
“This shipment marks a critical step for KAMA Auto’s entry into Southeast Asia. In the early phase, annual export value is expected to exceed 200 million yuan (approx. $27.6 million),” said a spokesperson from Ganzhou KAMA Auto.
“Demand for commercial vehicles in Vietnam and ASEAN countries continues to rise, and with RCEP tariff benefits and the efficient sea-rail corridor through Ganzhou, we have ensured a reliable, cost-effective supply chain.”
Looking forward, Ganzhou International Land Port plans to continue expanding its multimodal logistics services, supporting Jiangxi’s advanced manufacturing industries to participate in global competition. This initiative contributes to building a modern logistics system of 'corridor + hub + network', reinforcing Ganzhou's position as a pivotal inland hub in China's global trade network.
